緑が滲む境界

豊郷の家

この住宅は、平屋であることの持つやわらかな広がりを最大限に活かし、家族が自然と一緒に過ごす時間を豊かに感じられるように計画した。
建物は住居とガレージを分け、あえてその間に庭を配した。
その庭は単なる余白ではなく、ふたつの建物をつなぐ「共有の間」として機能する。大開口の窓からは四季折々の光と風が流れ込み、
リビングにいながらも屋外の気配を常に感じられる構成とした。

外観は黒を基調とした落ち着いた佇まいとし、素材感のある外壁が時間とともに趣を増すようにデザインした。
対照的に内部は明るさを大切にし、白を基調に木の家具や柔らかな光で温かさを添えた。
廊下やリビングに設けた開口部は、単なる採光ではなく視線の抜けをつくり、庭や周辺の景色との連続性を生み出した。

ガレージは別棟とすることで生活の動線を整理すると同時に、住まいに独立した表情を与えた。
その距離感が生まれることで庭を挟んで視線が交わり、外と内が呼応するような関係性をつくり出した。
家族は庭で遊ぶ子どもをリビングから見守り、夕暮れには外と中を行き来しながら団らんを楽しむ。
そんな時間の積み重ねが、この住宅をより豊かにしていく。

この住宅はただ住むための箱ではなく、家族の暮らしと庭の風景が一体となり、新しい日常を紡ぎ出す舞台とした。

This residence was designed to embrace the gentle horizontality of a single-story home, creating a space where family life naturally connects with the outdoors. The house is intentionally divided into two structures: the living area and the garage, with a garden placed between them. This garden is not a leftover space, but a shared "in-between," serving as a vital connection. Large openings invite seasonal light and breezes, allowing the presence of nature to flow seamlessly into the living room.

The exterior, finished in deep tones of black, was designed to hold a quiet and timeless dignity, while its textured surfaces will gain character over time. In contrast, the interior emphasizes brightness, combining white surfaces with wooden furnishings and soft lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each window and opening was carefully considered, not merely for daylight, but to frame views and extend the sense of continuity between the interior and the surrounding garden.

By separating the garage as an independent volume, the daily flow of life was clarified while granting the home a distinctive dual expression. This spatial distance creates visual connections across the garden, establishing a dialogue between inside and outside. Families can watch children play in the yard from the living room, and as evening falls, they can move freely between indoors and outdoors, enjoying moments of togetherness.

This house is not just a dwelling, but a stage where everyday life and the presence of the garden intertwine, weaving new and richer daily experiences.
